Capsicum and Chilli Jam

“I love cooking – it’s probably where I’m in my happiest creative place. I don’t think I’ll ever make serious money out of my preserves but I really value the friends I have and it’s my way of showing love.
I suppose I was influenced by my grandmother who had a beautiful old farmhouse. She was very generous and would always give visitors fresh farm eggs and loads of vegetables before they left.
I remember her kitchen and massive pantry with two deep freezes and two fridges. The shelves were lined from wall to floor with bottles of jam and pickles – there was a sense of bounty that I loved.”
