My secret pleasure is … talking to my friends on Facebook while sort-of-watching family TV.

My first job was … working in Scotts (fashion store) as a saleslady.

My most annoying habits are … (allegedly) slurping my tea and snoring gently.

A clear childhood memory is … going for a Sunday bush walk with my Dad in Kitwe, Zambia and coming across some hippos wallowing in the river.

What makes me really nervous is … writing about myself.

The best advice my parents gave me was … if at first you don’t succeed, try, try and try again.

If I wasn’t a psychologist, I’d be … a missionary or a teacher.

I’m most thankful for … my family, my friends and my animals.

My favorite meal is … Mum’s roast lamb with mint sauce and thick shiny gravy.

I know it’s good for me, but I hate … not eating too many carbs.

A book I love is … A Severe Mercy by Sheldon Vanauken (sniff, sniff)

A song that resonates is … Amazing Grace

My ‘happy place’ is … tucked up in bed with my cuddly blanket, knowing my family are all safe in bed.

My most embarrassing memory is … slipping in my high heels as I entered a Science Laboratory when I was teaching at a boy’s high school. I landed under the front science bench and didn’t want to come out as the boys (and Science Teacher) were all snickering under their breath.

My hidden skill is … not ever wearing high heels.

If I was a dog, I’d be … one of my own Miniature Schnauzers.

It’s a bit corny but I love … ice cream, popcorn and holding hands at the movies.

I’m most at peace when … I am close to God, my friends and my family.

Country I’d love to visit … Switzerland.

Favourite quote … “If you wanted a peaceful life, you’d have it.”
